Why would one want to run Unix on a thinkpad?
Curious question, why would one want to run Unix on anything, simple answer
because you want to run Unix because you either like Unix, or are using
Unix software that doesn't run under other systems. I don't see what's
special with respect to Unix about the Thinkpad.
Remember that the majority of all Unix systems run on x86 machines.
