Just got a 755C. Using it for a week now. I had lots of second thoughts
while waiting for it (so damn much money). Anyhow, got it now and would not
part with it. It replaces a 25 Mhz 386SX mono laptop so the performance
difference as quite remarkable.
Screen is great, can't find any bad pixels. Battery life seems to be fairly
consistent at just over 3 hrs of continious use on the low power setting.
I bought the 4MB RAM, 170MB disk. WFWG 3.11. I have upgraded the memory to
20MB using Viking memory (4MB was pretty sad). I have installed Stacker 4.0
to get more disk space but even then, it's pretty much full up so I'll be
looking for a new hard drive soon.
Does anyone no for sure what type drive these things use? I have read here
that its ESDI, a dealer has told me that it's Microchannel (I didn't know
there was such a thing, and someone else says IDE. I've had the cover off
and it looks just like the IDE drive on my old laptop. What's the real scoop?
