It is interesting to note that I've had two responses confirming the
aforementioned suspend problem, and one response stating that suspend
functions correctly. Could it be that 3/4 of us are using a power-on
password, and the remaining 1/4 is not?

This might be correct -- I'm NOT using a power-on password and the APM
functions perfectly for me.
