I am happily using the New Media Bus Toaster SCSI card to support
my external SCSI drive. Its cable is thin enough (just barely) to
be used at the same time as an X-jack modem, and cable for both
SCSI I and SCSI II are available. When everything is running, I don't
notice much, if any, difference in speed between the external and the
internal hard drives, but I am not an expert on such things.
