Solution, no. Workaround, yes...

You need to disable your power-on password. I believe this is done by
typing space followed by a return at the password prompt, but please
refer to your owner's manual for the exact procedure.

IBM is aware of the problem, and has stated that a BIOS patch is most
likely needed to correct it.

If so inclined, you can call the OS/2 support line at 800-992-4777 and
refer to PMR# 0X827,PSG. This PMR# was issued about 3 weeks ago relative
to various Thinkpad Warp/APM problems. The last I heard, this was not a
very high priority item, as the aforementioned workaround does provide
for a temporary fix.

This is somewhat disappointing, but on the whole I'm pretty happy
with Warp in spite of these various annoyances. Hang in there!
