Firstly, has the FAQ been updated since 7/10/94? I've lost the ftp site
at which the faq is stored, and 7/10 is my most recent downloaded copy.
Secondly, I'm looking for external backup of some kind. So far it looks
like I'll be flipping a three sided coin to choose between:
Colorado Trakker
BackPack 250MB tape
SyQuest 270MB
I've heard nothing but rave reviews of the Trakker. Will it run suitably
quickly on the EPP of my TP360? Is there a real difference between the
Trakker and the BackPack, and do either of these cause problems on
anyone's TP setups?
For the extra money, does anyone have an external SyQuest working happily
on their 'pad? In the most recent BYTE to make it to southern shores, a
reseller has SyQuest 'internal, SCSI and parallel' models. Is the
parallel SyQuest new, or did a secretary make a mistake? I'm trying
desperately to find a dealer here who knows more than the pricelist.
As this is not *directly* TP related, it would be best to reply directly
to me, and I'll summarise to the list.
