Hello Michael,
I have a ThinkPad 360CSE 4/340Mb, I have succesfully installed Linux
>from Slackware distribution disk. Although, it requires a specific kernel
because of the floppy and hdd. The floppy patch can be activated from the
LILO command line prompt. But the HD, must be compiled. If you are insterested
I can give you a kernel image.
Now concerning X-window, you have got a TFT screen, so you should have
less problems. I ran XFree-2.1 with no problem, but I need to use a patched
version because of the way double scan video memory is organized.
I do not have an internal MWave modem, so I can't comment out that part.
Before installing Linux, I made some test with FreeBSD-2.0. It runs nicely
if you have a patched kernel version (yes, one more patch) because of a keyboard
problem. I also have a bootable diskimage for this one, if you want ?
Regards,
