I friend at work has a 360CSE and a Dock II. I has a SCSI CD-ROM
attached at wanted to use it in Linux. Linux wasn't recognizing
the Dock II SCSI though. I had heard others had problems but on
investigation the problem was found.

The Linux kernel is looking in the BIOS for a signature. The
Dock II SCSI reports itself as an AHA-1532P. Linux doesn't have
this in its list of signatures.

I will be asking for this to be added to the kernel but for now
anyone who want to fix this can edit drivers/scsi/aha152x.c and
search for the list of signatures. Add:

{ "Adaptec BIOS:AHA-1532P", 0x1c, 22 }

to the list and Linux should now recognize and work fine with the
Dock II SCSI!

This should be added to the FAQ too. Is the maintainer out there?
