Regarding dropped keys on thinkpads:
I've had problems with this ever since I got my port replicator. I don't
remember dropping keys using the built-in keyboard, but my external keyboard
drops keys every few days (under constant use). It can be annoying. By the
way, I do not have a y-cable.
Likewise, I don't have a Y cable, but the keyboard plugged into my
dock II drops keys two or three times per hour. Up until now I had
assumed it was the keyboard -- I was going to get a different one to
get rid of the problem. Now it looks like that would be a waste of
money.
