This week's PC Week (maybe InfoWorld) has an article talking about various
glitches in high-end mobile units. I believe that this is where I saw a
reference that stated that the OS/2 MWAVE drivers do not work on systems
with memory >= 16M. According to what I read, IBM was expected to have a fix
by the end of April.

Of course I'm not sure of any of this.
