adlib sound only works on tp755cE models with the Mwave chip. 750C and
755C (or Cs) users don't get sound with doom. This is because you can't
emulate the soundblaster when the application goes into proteted mod and
the original sound chip is not "register" compatible with the SB. The
MWave chip _is_ compatible.
