I looked at the Toshiba/NEC Pentium boxes. The NEC is hopeless, I never saw
such a horrible pointing device anywhere (a horrible trackball on the front
of the case). The Toshiba is more possible, but the trackpoint knockoff is
very much inferior, and the whole machine gives an impression of much less
solid engineering than the TP. They are also, at least in NYC, much harder
to get hold of than the Pentium thinkpads.
