I just wanted to let people know that anyone who bought a 755CX from IBM PC
Direct in the last 30 days ought to take advantage of their undocumented (so
far as I know) 30-day price guarantee.
If you RECEIVED your machine within the last 30 days and it is now cheaper,
call your sales rep for information as to how you can claim a refund for the
price difference. It involved faxing them a letter stating your invoice
number, prices, etc. which they then submit to their credit department.
Considering that the SVGA 755CX 8/540 dropped from $5799 to $4849, it's well
worth the time to pursue this refund.
Something similar probably also applies to any vendor offering a 30-day
return policy -- it's worth a call.
