Part of the reason why IBM is able to guarantee such amazing turn-around
times is that their repair facilities are in two hangars which are
immediately adjacent to the primary Federal Express depot at the airport in
Memphis, TN. it is a fact that when your units go for repair, theu
literally never leave the airport on the other end. It makes things quite
efficient.

PS: For those of you who are unaware, EVERY FedEx package used to go
through that Memphis depot. FedEx found it more efficient even if a package
originated in L.A. and was destined for San Francisco. Eventually things
got really big, and it made sense for them to build local routing depots,
but for a long time there waas just the one in Memphis.
