-> I was wondering if you need to use a different 32 bit disk access driver for
-> Windows 3.1x for enabling 32 bit disk access using a 540+ E-IDE hard drive.
There used to be a file called tpdisk32.exe in
ftp://ftp.pcco.ibm.com/pub/mobiles/
that updated things for 32-bit disk access. However I notice it's no longer
there. I can e-mail it to you if you want, although it might be in another
unofficial Thinkpad archive (probably the one you can't find anymore!)
Here's what the .doc file says:
IBM ThinkPad Windows(*) 32-Bit Disk Access Device Driver
Ver 1.00 Dec. 27, 1994
=======================================================
What This Diskette Does
-----------------------
This diskette installs the Thinkpad Windows 32-Bit Disk Access Device
Driver onto your hard disk.
Windows 32-Bit Disk Access improves system performance when
transferring data to and from the internal hard disk. This driver
allows you to use 32-Bit Disk Access on ThinkPad 355/360/750/755
systems with hard disks larger than 528MB.
