I didn't need the "floppy=thinkpad" option, but in order for the
"scsi" kernel to recognize the adaptec scsi board try:

ramdisk aha152x=0x340,11,7,1

to tell the kernel where to look for it.

The cdrom shows up as /dev/scd0.
