Robert, I have used an old Toshiba XM-4100A portable CD ROM drive several
times with my trusty TP 750cs without any problems. It is a two speed,
mains only unit. It worked fine with the drivers shipped with Warp via a
New Media SCSI PCMCIA card.
I don't see why more modern drives would not work as well.
