Using MWave in Europe...

There is no problem with using the mwave modem in Germany apart from
the fact that the (US) modem blocks the line: if you connect both
a telephone set and the modem to the same line (in most cases
there is a so-called NFN-socket) then the modem prevents the
phone from accessing the line...

This is not an answer to your question but:
It's just a few lines that have toll pulses: if you want to have them
you got to spend some extra money. Therefore most people don't have
it...
