Com port probs

I have had a number of folks e-mail me that they have the same problems, but
no one has (apparently) found the solution. When I get back to my light box
(next Tuesday), I'll try to do an exhaustive test of all comm ports to see
what I can do. If anyone has a solution, please post it and save me that effort!
