Speaking of which, the MWAVE on my Aptiva seems a lot better at doing sound
while the modem is busy, despite a warning in the manual that it might not
work. Is it a different chip as the 755's, or maybe a newer program?

Me? I just want it to say "You have new mail" like it does when I use an
ethernet connection.
