Anyone have success with Mconv2 in Linux?

I have a TP755CD running RedHat 3.0.3 Linux. There are a lot of programs
not compatible with a PS2 mouse, so I was delighted to read about Mconv2 in
the most recent issue of the Linux Gazette. However, after installing it,
my mouse acts sporadic and I have to kill the process.

Anyone have any luck with this program on the Thinkpads?
