Correct. I was picking up on the "if all you want to do is transfer
files" line when making my comment.

BTW, my printer ports are kinda tied up talking to printers, so I
don't have much use for printer port file transfer. One of these
days, I suspect that I will be getting Ethernet cards for my notebook
and desktop PCs. At that point, I might be tempted to say something
about ECP ports being "so slow". :-)

More seriously, is there a good way to use my one and only printer
port for *both* printing and cheap networking? The best I have been
able to come up with calls for adding a second printer port to my
desktop and routing all of my print jobs through it. If I'm going to
give up one of my *very few* remaining IRQs and a slot, I'd rather it
be an Ethernet card.
