Don't forget that a teacher's lectures are his/her intellectual
property; *no* recording device should be used without the
instructor's explicit permission.
When IBM (or anybody) makes a transcriber that can keep up with my
lectures, I will be very very impressed! Long before then I expect to
see portable supercomputers with full-sized screen and keyboard,
which fold up to the size and weight of a cigarette pack:-)
