ESS1688 Full Duplex

Has anyone got full-duplex working on the ESS1688 sound chip used in the
Thinkpad 760, TP560, and TP380? I have the latest IBM drivers and it only
allows half duplex.

I am trying to get MS Netmeeting to allow phone calls over the internet,
but half-duplex is painful. I would think modern sound chips would allow
full duplex.
