Dear Charles et al,
Installing Ofice 97 seemed to be a terrible mistake to me
as well. I use a 750-C. I thought the machine was sitting in
molasses. I found the slowdown culprit was the MS OUTLOOK
program.
Go to the Outlook program, then under TOOLS, then
OPTIONS then under JOURNAL: UNCHECK all the
automatic recording updates for ALL PROGRAMS.
Your Office 97 will return to normal speed.
