I have the P120 version with the 12.1" TFT and 40MB of RAM and have
never noticed any sort of flicker. There is the quick brightness of the
fluourescent backlight to make sure it lights up just as it comes on, but
after that it goes to whatever brightness setting you have it at.
Your brightness slider pot may be noisy and need replacement.
