I'm new to the list. A few months ago I purchased a used
TP701 and now have 24mb/540hd/win95. I did not receive
any manuals or helpful material and have been combing the
web for anything useful. I'm not technically inclined by any
stretch of the imagination, but I'm a relatively proficient user.
My multiport doesn't work b/c one of the tiny metal hair-like
things that go into the connector on the back of the TP
broke off. I want to use the printer port on the side of my
TP, but I can't get it to work. The TP recognizes the floppy
when its connected, but doesn't see a printer. Any
suggestions?
Also, I updated my bios from the IBM website and since
then, I get an error message about a missing device file
referred to by the windows registry or system.ini file:
c:\windows\system\vm32\bios.vxd
I don't know where to find this file or what it means. My
computer seems to be working okay otherwise. Any
suggestions?
