In terms of recharge cycles, best is NiCad (or lead-acid:-). NIMH is much worse, L-Ion a little worse than NIMH, Lithium Polymer much worse than L-Ion, and Zinc-Air another order of magnitude worse.
Of course, few reasonable people take discharge cycles as the important measure of battery quality.
