Yikes! If I didn't have a desktop machine to write this with, I don't
quite know what I'd do...
The Bad News: This morning through an unfortunate chain of events, I
managed to drop my TP 560--and it dropped on kitchen linoleum. The screen
lights up, but looks something like a pasty-white. A nice, even
pasty-white, if that means anything. The display isn't cracked or
anything--it just shows white when turned on. Maybe its something simple
like a connector came loose? Its also at least 8 months out of
warranty...(damn, I wish that 3-year warranty applied to the 560's!).
The Good News: I *think* it boots up OK, which means the workings are
functional and presumably I can retrieve my data off the HD. I'll try to
confirm that later this afternoon when I have time to hook it up to the
external monitor from my desktop and see if it functions.
Anyone on the list interested in selling their 560? Or maybe this is God's
way of telling me its time to buy a 600... ;-)
