The above page describes it in detail. The following explains a PS2
command that allows the Floppy Drive to be recognized when connected
externally:
"This table correctly states the steps for using the UltraslimBay and FDD
device as shipped. You can however, set your system to automatically
recognize the FDD as an external device by typing the following command at
a DOS prompt: PS2 FDD EXT. You must reboot the system, but the default
setting will remain permanent until you reboot with the FDD in the bay."
So there you have it--a solution to the annoyance. :-)
