the P-II seems to cache more memory and is obviously a faster cpu..
apparent speed increase (unmeasured and unobserved for at least a week or more)
is 10%.. maybe a bit more..
no time now to test and no benchmark app to use..
the preload is slightly different..
you get an 8.1gig HDD on the ED..
SO, a quick 4am recap.. 8.1gig, P-II 266 (better cpu), 64megs standard (32on MB
and 32 in one DIMM slot)..
memory is so cheap now, i'm starting to use it for postage stamps.. :-)
IMO wait for the next itteration in 4th quarter unless you are ready to pay
$5500 and let your 770-1AU go for $3k or less..
