its the chipset..the 770 P-II (770E series) can, i have been told, cache
memory above the 64meg limit imposed with most intel chipsets..
there are several sites that talk about this..

yes, i believe that you can..but note that more memory = less swap file..
thus more memory will increase performance in certain cases..
it ALL depends upon what you use your machine for..
if word processing and internet activities, then more memory will have
little impact..
if you work with big graphics files, then more memory is good..
i will dig up the links to the sites that talk about the cache issue..
it becomes quite interesting and complex.. :-)
