i was told that there is a setting somewhere within win95 that will change
this to the more or less true connect speed..
it is a win95 thing, not a thinkpad thing..
on two desktops, side by side, one shows 31,200bps (obviously the connect
speed) the the other 115200 bps (probably the "serial port" connect speed)..
