IBM is very strange on this. It's best to make sure you keep track of the invoice,
or in my case, if needed, make sure you can get a copy from the dealer.

IBM in some cases says that my machine's warranty is almost 6 months shorter,
since I bought in on March 18 (I think), 1996, and they said it was built in Sep. 1995.

And what's weirder is that my serial number was not originally in the system as a valid
machine (unlike my 355C which was), and I was the original owner of both!
