After upgrading memory in over 700 laptops at lowest available price,
(for a very cheap large organization employer)
I have only had trouble with IBM (once) Kingston (once) and Micron (once)
and have never had any problems with chips based on price... best service
coast to coast (no restocking charge, longer inspection period, best telephone
support) and Chip Merchant ... partially because I don't think they keep a
lot on the shelves but receive and pass through quickly before it gets
knocked around by warehouse and shipping grunts.
