I am trying to get linux going on my new 600 21U (fine machine). It
turns out that there are new free accelerated drivers for the NeoMagic
XD (ftp//ftp.redhat.com/pub/XBF, keep trying) Unfortunately the
documentation on how to install it is pretty sparse. This probably
wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't such a linux newbie. The drivers
are new enought that nobody has put up a howto page. I have it all
installed, and startx works in something like 340x400 mode, but I just
don't know how to fix the XF86Config file to get it working properly.
Could someone who has installed these drivers please email me their
working XF86Config file?

P.S.

For those of you who don't mind playing video games on an external
monitor, don't do thier computing in bright sunlight, and who have
better things to do with $1000, the 13" 1024x768 HPA display is really
quite nice. Best of all, you get a reliable 4 hours on the battery.

P.P.S.

The surface finish and external dimensions of the 600 are remarkably
similar to the tp750 it replaced. The keyboard isn't as good though.
