Hello!

I've a nice little 760 XD running OS/2 Warp 4. Works very stable (as OS/2
allways does ;-) but yesterday I had a crash. The first for about half a year
now. Seemed to be quite mysterious: The TP simply rebooted. Without any
action of my part. Then I got message that ther're only 8 MB of RAM installed
(ther're 40MB in real life), and ERROR 163. BIOS came up. TP rebooted some
times, (not me, the TP it self) said there where 4MB of RAM and other strange
errors. I switched it off, and let it stand there about an hour. I had used
it the whole day, so I thought of a heat problem. (Fan is working, and it can
blow out the air freely.) Then I switched it on again, and found that the
complete BIOS-settings were resetted. The Mwave tried to emulate SB16 so my
network adaptor didn't work cause of ressourceconflicts and nearly all
TP-Features were set to some strange values. I turned it back to where they
belong, but now I've a simple question:

Why did it do this?

Any hints? Could it have been heat? And if, how can I cure that? I'm used to
work with my PC the whole day, now I've to say it nearly never crashes. I'd
like to eliminate the "nearly" ;-) Are there any known problems concerning
heat for the 760XD? Could it have been heat or would anybody here suggest a
diffrent problem?

If more details are needed, please mail.
