Maybe your disk needs defragmenting? I just did this under DOS for
my 755 as Netscape and such were starting to make me wonder if they'd
ever get going. I've been burned a couple times by the Norton defrag
program, this time I had a backup handy and had to restore three files
in the windows directory that "changed" - windows would not run plus
the lousy error message about why flashed by so quickly there was no
hope of ever seeing what it said, but the dos compare program takes
wildcards so it wasn't all that rough. You could also just backup
and restore (the old fashioned way of defragging) to accomplish the
same thing...
