Strictly speaking, IBM is licensing some of its patented technology to Symantec, not outright selling the section. They are doing
the same with INTEL (for LAN security systems). IBM always had the better AV technology, but Symantec did a better job on virus
updates (*usually* - on this particular virus, IBM beat out Symantec by a couple of months). I would assume that the IBM employees
behind these lucrative patents are being retained by the company!

Anyway - some TP list content - for those many of us whose machines *did* come with the IBM product, downloadable signature file
upgrades should exist for the rest of the year. Sorry, Larry - I guess you didn't buy your machine soon enough!
