Use mem=95M instead of 96M and all will be well. Linux cannot use all
of the 96MB because 640kB is reserved for system use. You could also
specify (96*1024 - 640)k, but that only gives you 384kB more, and I
cannot remember the value offhand.
(Didn't I just answer this very question to the list within the last
week?)
