James:

I bought my Dock II off another TP mailing list person, Stan
Chen. He had told me that he had been unable to get the Dock II SCSI
working. Let me run a few things by you. I have basically tried
three OSes: DOS, W98, and OS/2 (my system of choice) and been
unsuccessful with all three. I have used the latest drivers for W95
(w95mpd.exe) and OS/2 (aha152x.add) from Adaptec.

As W95 boots, it apparently recognizes the Dock II SCSI as
"AHA1530P" but ends up as "Adaptec AIC-6X60 Plug and Play SCSI".
Before completing the boot sequence W95 gives a protection violation
(in the cd-rom driver, CDVSD.VXD).

With OS/2 a fault is generated as AHA152X.ADD tries to load
indicating it is trying to use IRQ 13 (not available).

Finally, I never see the "Control-A" message to enter the SCSI
configuration mode during boot. The switch block settings are the
default: BIOS starting at DC000 and ports at 340. I assume you have
none of these peculiar behaviors?

Regards,
David
