[TP755C] Windoze for Workgroups VGA setup Q

I normally use the tp under linux and use 256 colours under X which is reasonably acceptable. However I have a WFW 3.11 setup on another HD which I use for windoze apps. THe graphics doesn't seem to be particularly hot (I reckon 16 colours), it is set for 'VGA' in the system settings but I suspect I can get better than 256 colours with the right driver - what should I be using here?
