OK folks,

I have managed to get the XF86_SVGA server working with 800x600
resolution with the following setup:

Model of ThinkPad: 365XD (TFT)
Linux distribution: RedHat 5.1
Version of XFree86: XFree86-SVGA-3.3.2.3-18
                     (the `-18' refers to the RPM release number).

Here's my XF86Config file. (Incidentally there was precious little
systematic investigation that actually led to this particular
configuration working, basically I tweaked it, then a friend of mine
tweaked it - and eventually - hey presto! So I'm sorry if we can't
offer any real knowledge about the chipset problems to folks using
XFree86 - all we know is that fiddling with the Clocks lines and
synchronisation things seemed to do the job).
