I have used a 560e and I also found it's screen to be a bit dimmer than some
of the other TFT Thinkpads that I have used, except my 701c. I have heard
others make the same comment about this model. I don't conisder it hideous,
but it isn't extremely bright! And no, this is not typical of all Thinkpads.
My 770 has the brightest laptop screen I have yet seen, and my previous
760ED wasn't that bad either. If yours seems to dim, call IBM and see if
they will have a look at it. Also, look at your Thinkpad features program
and make sure that your screen brightness settings are on high.
