I gunked up my 755cx keyboard after a year or two of fairly heavy use.
The key action was sticky and sluggish. I got a replacement keyboard
>from IBM Direct for around $80 and put it on with some help from Bill
Morrow (thanks!). It was a tremendous improvement and well worth it.
The keyboard is something that you use up and have to replace every
so often, like the trackpoint cap. Later I found that Insight Direct
had the same keyboard for around $60. So I was really pained to hear
that a new keyboard for a 380 costs $180 or something like that.
I wonder if my 770 keyboard will cost that much to replace when it's time.
