I can tell you more about the machine, since I bought one from
them a little more than a year ago (not at $1098 - sigh).

You can use the 760XL with the SelectaDock systems, but you
must have a Baseplate. The 760 (including the XL) also works with
the Dock I, Dock II and Port Replicators for the 75x series.

Decent machine, albeit a bit heavy. The P166MMX mobile processor
is, however, the most power-hungry of the Pentium class of mobile
processors and thus, can get pretty warm for a laptop. Be sure you
get the latest version of the bios. If your XL doesn't hibernate
or suspend without crashing Win95, don't use the latest version
of APM. Instead, go back one version (it's in the Control Panel/
Power Management screen). The W95 preload CD (as delivered to me)
is pretty crude when partitioning your hard drive, but you can get
a much improved, updated version of the Setup files that will
recognize and allow for multiple partitions.

the one at $1098 was a different item, without the 20x CdRom. You can find
it doing a search for ibm 760xl. They seem to have about 15 in stock.

CDW item 129132 is the same machine, but it is bundled with the 20x CdRom,
valued, according to the sales person I spoke with, at $300.

I ended up buying this last one, plus 32 Mb of memory (they were out of
stock on the 64Mb cards).

It is brand new, and comes preloaded with Windows 95. I will tell you more
when I receive it.

I currently own a TP760CD. Besides the CPU speed (166Mhx MMX Pentium Vs 90
Mhz) and the bigger hard drive, can someone please remind me what, if any)
is different between the 2 models? More specifically, will I be able to use
my Docking Station II with the XL?
