Hi, I have recently purchased a H45 Technology Corp. Quick Drive- Parallel
Port Hard Drive Kit. It supposedly will let you plug a case with a hard
drive enclosed to the parallel port, giving you additional room when you
are running out of hard drive space.

I have a friend who installed one on his desktop with no problems. Tried to
attach it to my 760ED IBM Thinkpad and although the drive will run the
laptop does not recognize it.

The manual for the H45 Quick drive states:
The quick drive DOES NOT support DMA. If your Parallel Port is set to ECP
mode, it must be changed in your CMOS setup.

How would I access the CMOS and change the ECP?

Any thoughts (step by step) appreciated. Also has anyone on this list
successfully used a H45 Quick drive on their laptop?

Thanks in advance for your expertise.
