Thanks, Derek. This is kind of what I thought. I'll call them tomorrow if
I have a chance. I also have had some problems getting the card to work
properly on my network when I reconnect it in the morning. Recently I
reinstalled the drivers for the card and also the network drivers and this
seems to have helped. I wasn't have trouble getting the ThinkPad to see the
network, but rather getting the other computers to see the ThinkPad.

It's a Xircom driver problem. I have the same problem. Xircom says it's not
normal and I'm working with them to try and resolve the problem.
Give their tech support a call at 805 376-6763. That's the guy that is
helping me.
