We manage because we know there are fewer cracked hinges, cracked displays
and cracked cases than other laptops... we manage by knowing that
Thinkpads are more hardy and rugged than other makes... we manage by
learning from each other on this list what to expect and how to handle
problems... laptop is a latin word meaning, "...something that will break
or cause trouble eventually..."
But most of us do not have failures. Most Thinkpad owners have very good
luck... and for the most part... a failure in one machine is corrected
before it becomes common to all machines... IBM must read this list...
