Sounds good, but what is the range on a Thinkpad IR port?

Subject: Appliance remote control program

Giday all,

Does anyone know where I could get my hands on a program to use my 770 as a
remote control for my TV and Stereo etc. PLEASE, none of that dribble that
its a different modulation scheme or frequency used on computer IR's,
because I've had a program on my 770 before that I could control my stereo
with. But somehow I lost it and it's install, and don't know where on the
internet to find it again.

The one I had was a Japanese one if I remember right, and I had to guess
what the buttons were, but it was simple enough to figure out.

Does anyone know where this program is, or another 1 I can download like it.
It's not an essential think, just nice to play with. I was thinking of using
it to make an alarm clock out of my TV.

Thanks,
Andreas!!
:-)
